Client Management allows you to maintain a comprehensive database of your customers, whether they are individual persons or companies. This information is essential for creating purchase and sale contracts and maintaining customer relationships.Client Types
SGIVU supports two types of clients:Individual Persons
Private individuals purchasing or selling vehicles. Includes personal information and contact details.
Companies
Business entities engaged in vehicle transactions. Includes corporate information and business contact details.
Managing Individual Clients
Adding a New Person
Navigate to Client Management
Access the Client Management section from your dashboard. You need the
person:create permission to add new individual clients.Enter Personal Information
Fill in the client’s details:
- Full Name: First and last name
- Email Address: Primary contact email
- Phone Number: Contact phone number
- Date of Birth: For age verification and record-keeping
- Identification: ID number or driver’s license (if required)
Add Address Information
Enter the client’s address:
- Street address
- City
- State/Province
- Postal code
- Country
Add Notes (Optional)
Include any additional information about the client’s preferences, requirements, or transaction history.
Updating Person Information
Edit Client Details
Update client information at any time by searching for the person and selecting edit. Changes are reflected immediately across all related records.
Managing Company Clients
Adding a New Company
Access Company Management
From Client Management, select the Companies tab. You need the
company:create permission to add new corporate clients.Enter Company Information
Fill in the corporate details:
- Company Name: Legal business name
- Tax ID: Business tax identification number
- Email Address: Primary business contact email
- Phone Number: Main business phone line
- Industry: Type of business (optional)
Add Business Address
Enter the company’s registered or primary business address with complete details.
Add Contact Person (Optional)
If applicable, include the name and contact information for the primary contact person at the company.
Updating Company Information
Edit Company Details
Company information can be updated at any time. This is particularly useful when business details change or new contact persons are assigned.
